Walking the Long Miles Home
Muswell Hill to L.A.

This product is included in: RT
The first CD explores Richard’s career, through songs and events that have inspired him. It begins with his cover version of a song about the delights of fame (or the lack of it). Then, the Fairport years, including a chance encounter with a musical legend of yesteryear. Richard’s Scottish roots dominate the next set of songs, ending with a wry take on a musical legend of today. The heart of the CD pulses with songs inspired by his life in London, seen both close to and from the distant vantage of his second home in LA. We conclude with three songs on the topic of religion.

Always a private man, Richard has never been one to write musical autobiography, but these tracks together offer an insight into “the life and music of Richard Thompson.”
